At Villa Oasis, we understand that there are many paths to achieving sustainable recovery, and we support our clients in choosing the best path for themselves.
Villa oasis offers many alternative treatment options because we believe in their efficacy and relevance.
Alternative treatment programs can empower residents to take charge of their lives and behaviors by exercising choice and experiencing their own agency, as well as showing each person their value and ability to give back to the world.
In addition, alternative programs may offer a fresh approach or perspective, rather than potentially forcing a resident to return to a method that has not previously worked for them.
The methods that we offer can show residents that there really aren’t any insurmountable obstacles between them and their recovery, or between them and a good, sustained, and sober life afterward.
Last, our methods equip us to recognize dual diagnoses, also known as co-occurring disorders.
Dual diagnosis ensues when an addiction coincides with another mental health issue like:
- Bipolar Disorder
This can make recovery complex, given that both issues must be treated conjointly to ensure a balanced and successful recovery. Despite the added complexity of dual diagnosis, it is much more effective to recognize the presence of a dual diagnosis rather than assuming the addiction doesn’t coincide with other conditions.
