Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Other Services

Villa Oasis employs Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), an evidence based treatment that combines medication with behavioral therapy and is shown to increase recovery rates and patient engagement.

“Evidence based” means the methods we apply have been researched, scientifically studied, and the research has been published in a peer-reviewed journal. We integrate expert medical care, progressive clinical methodology with direct collaboration in order to provide our residents with the highest quality and most effective provision of care.

MAT medications are remarkably effective in treating opioid use disorder. When administered therapeutically, the medication stabilizes brain chemistry, blocks the euphoric effect of alcohol and opiates, manages physical symptoms of withdrawal and relieves cravings. They amplify the patient’s ability to participate in treatment, within shorter timeframes and in a manner that has greater potency.

MAT saves lives!

Residential Treatment

Following detox, residents will benefit from a full array of services designed to cultivate healing in a manner that does not feel like treatment, but rather feels like a total rejuvenation. At the heart of our program are our daily group sessions that are supportive, informative, lively, and empowering to help Residents learn the relapse prevention skills necessary for a sober lifestyle. Members benefit from hearing differing/similar perspectives from peers who share their personal recovery journey. They gain insight into basic genetic, neurobiological, and behavioral components of addiction, relapse, and recovery.

After Care

When the physical aspects of acute withdrawal have passed, the freedom that was once a dream is now palpable. Residents feel wonderful to wake up each morning without being strapped to alcohol or drugs. They recognize aspects of their being that are notably better and obviously different than just a few weeks prior.

Our after care program has been carefully designed so that this experience is not short-lived, and other conditions are able to be addressed. Villa Oasis’ strategy is to teach the skills and strategies that reinforce both successful recovery and purposeful, empowered living. Aftercare groups meet weekly to provide the residents with support for ongoing recovery. Participants share what is happening in their lives and are given peer feedback and encouragement. Aftercare groups serve to build bonds between current residents and those who are successfully living recovered lives after graduating from Villa Oasis.

Our clinicians are trained to teach you to walk through life, capably managing stress and handling emotions. We teach coping skills. Coping is the skill that underlies our ability to engage in life, be social, perform and accomplish our goals.

As we learn coping skills and can more often successfully accomplish our goals…

And, as we are less and less hijacked by our emotions and fears…

We find ourselves easily managing situations that would have been difficult, if not impossible to walk through unaided by substances. These are the miracles of recovery. Accomplishments that feel good and encourage each resident to continue on, sober and sane.

You will learn how to enjoy life without depending upon substances and you will leave treatment from Villa Oasis community with a valuable connection and support.
