Withdrawal Management

Detoxification is an important period for individuals attempting to recover from drugs or alcohol. The purpose of detoxification in a medically managed setting, such as Villa Oasis, is to safely manage withdrawal symptoms when a person stops using drugs or alcohol.

Withdrawal symptoms and health complications can vary drastically between one substance and another. Some substances may present mild or moderate detox symptoms while others may be severe or life threatening. At Villa Oasis, every resident is carefully evaluated for their individual needs, length of use, substance of abuse, age, and pre-existing medical conditions. Upon this comprehensive assessment of our resident’s medical and psychiatric history, our medical staff create an individualized regimen of care that includes recuperative activities, bed rest, sleep management, nutrition and physical replenishment and medical management of physical and psychological discomfort of withdrawal.

Our family of highly-experienced professionals consider the numerous variables involved in this complex process, use medication assisted therapy (MAT), continuous medical monitoring and other strategies, to medically supervise and assist with a safe, effective and comfortable detox
